Almost 40 years ago Airflo in Britain revolutionized the fly line industry by developing the technology to build fly lines from Polyurethane instead of the PVC used by all the other manufacturers worldwide, and in the process created a series of fly lines that were infinitely more durable, stayed cleaner, floated better, and eliminated the excessive stretch that plagued conventional PVC lines. Now… Airflo’s next quantum leap forward in fly line technology has arrived—Superflo—which takes advantage of a wave of new nano-engineered hydrophobic materials that give us what amounts to a Super Teflon fly line that repeals water and dirt so effectively that they float higher and pick up from the water noticeably easier (less friction) than any other fly line on the planet. And, these supple floating lines are reinforced in the “haul zone” with a stiffer coating to bring increased casting ease and distance into the equation. Additionally, all “Ridge 2.0” designated Airflo models have even less friction through the rod guides for even more smoothness and distance potential.
